Chairman NAB declines to resign

ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Naveed Ahsan has refused to resign and hand over record of Swiss cases to the government, SAMAA reported Sunday.

According to sources, Chairman NAB had hinted at early resignation prior to his retirement but now he has declined to step down before July 6, 2010.

Sources told SAMAA that government wants to remove current Chairman NAB Naveed Ahsan and wishes to catch hold of record of Swiss cases. NAB chairman has personally preserved this record and no one has the access to it.

Naveed Ahsan has refused to hand over record of Swiss cases to government without court orders.
