HUNZA: Punjab government has announced on Monday to give Rs100 million for the people affected by Attabad Lake.
Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Leaders Nawaz Sharief and Shahbaz Sharief along with Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Mehdi Shah visited IDP camp of Al-tit where people affected by Attabad Lake have been given makeshift lodging.
They condoled with the families of people who were killed in the land sliding.
Addressing the public gathering Mian Nawaz Sharief said that Muslim league had raised the issue of Attabad Lake in the parliament.
He announced to give RS0.5 million per head to the families of those who were killed in the land sliding.
He demanded from the government to open Rasham High Way or provide for alternative route for the commuters.
At the occasion, Mian Shahbaz Sharief, chief minister of Punjab, announced that children of affected families will be given free education in Province and arrangements for their lodging and food will be responsibility of the Punjab government.
