Director General (DG) PEPCO Engineer Mohammad Khalid said on Monday that by virtue of gas shortage, thermal power generation has been reduced.
During media briefing in Lahore DG PEPCO, he said that in the energy conference it was decided that power plants will be given 183 million cubic feet gas but only 133 million cubic feet gas is being given.
He told that due to gas shortages several units of Faisalabad and Muzzafrabad power plants have been shut down.
